Michigan Tech is committed to providing opportunities that will help recruit and retain women. Women's Outreach at Tech is coordinated through the Center for Diversity and Inclusion (CDI), located in the Hamar House (building 13). CDI is a place where women can hang out, meet new friends, attend community events, and find resources. CDI staff work to prepare and empower socially conscious leaders who will create the future. The staff actively encourage the intellectual, social, and professional growth of women by providing a wide range of support services, including:
- Workshops and events
- Community building and peer support
- Personal development
- Academic support (outreach, referrals for on-campus resources)
- Career/professional assistance (networking opportunities with corporate recruiters, cover letter/resume review)
- Leadership development opportunities (CDI Student Leaders Retreats, CDI Ambassadors, LeaderShape)
